Who’s The Pusher Now?

Click here to hear the song.

Legalize Marijuana NOW! Stop the hypocrisy of the Federal Government from incarcerating people for fallacious Marijuana laws, while at the same time providing legal protection for deadly pharmaceutical drugs that kill hundreds of thousands of people every year. The Drug Wars are a political joke and have hurt and unnecessarily incarcerated millions of Americans for too long. The Marihuana Tax Act of 1937 was a travesty…a mistake…propaganda…Check out my new song..share it…

Audio archive of Paul Armentano on Tenther radio

Apparently the hosts particularly liked the following quotes from our interview:

http://radio.tenthamendmentcenter.com/2012/11/tenther-radio-episode-74-a-nullification-domino-effect/

Paul Armentano from NORML joins the Tenther gents to discuss the sound of even more dominoes falling - this time the marijuana dominoes! Could two states voting to legalize could signal the beginning of the end of marijuana prohibition?

“Without the state providing the teeth for marijuana prohibition, we are very quickly going to see marijuana prohibition unravel.” - Paul Armentano

“There is no mandate under the law whereby Colorado and Washington have to dictate their law enforcement resources go toward arresting marijuana offenders.” - Paul Armentano

“We are at a tipping point when it comes to public support for legalizing marijuana.” - Paul Armentano

At 27 minutes JM said to pick up a quote here.

“When it becomes apparent that the sky hasn’t fallen in Colorado and Washington, the whole house of cards is going to come falling… Continue reading

Marijuana’s Top Lobbyist Told Us Why There Will Be Several Viable Legalization Bills Next Year In Congress

On election day Colorado and Washington legalized marijuana, becoming the first states in the entire world to do so.

Allen St. Pierre is the Executive Director of the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws (NORML), the main marijuana use advocacy group in the United States.

NORML is the lobbyist, Political Action Committee, and electoral powerhouse behind medical marijuana laws, decriminalization laws, and now legalization.

Needless to say, he’s ecstatic about the results.

“A major corner has been turned in American politics,” St. Pierre told Business Insider. “Without being too hyperbolic, for all intents and purposes cannabis prohibition likely began its end last Tuesday night.”

He’s got a lot of reasons to be confident. Voters in Washington and Colorado voted at around 54% to completely legalize the cultivation, sale, regulation and consumption of marijuana. This is a first not just in the U.S., but in the world.

While the… Continue reading

Tennessee congressman asks feds to respect state marijuana laws

U.S. Rep. Steve Cohen, D-Memphis, is among a number of congressmen who have written to the Justice Department to ask the agency to respect newly passed laws on marijuana across the country.

On Election Day, voters in Colorado and Washington voted to make possession of marijuana legal, which stands at odds with a federal prohibition against marijuana (including medical pot).

In his letter to Attorney General Eric Holderand Michele Leonhart, head of the Drug Enforcement Agency, Cohen said it would be “a mistake for the federal government to focus enforceable action on individuals whose actions are in compliance with state law,” The Commercial Appeal reports.

LANSING — Supporters of marijuana decriminalization proposals passed in five Michigan cities say the move is a symbolic step towards better regulation, but residents still might want to wait before lighting up, according to law enforcement officials.

Ballot proposals expanding legal marijuana use beyond current state and federal law earned voter approval by wide margins Nov. 6 in Detroit, Flint, Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo and Ypsilanti.

Voters in Detroit and Flint supported decriminalization of less than one ounce of marijuana for those older than 21 and 19, respectively.

Grand Rapids voted to make marijuana possession a civil infraction, Ypsilanti determined marijuana possession to be the city’s “lowest police priority,” and Kalamazoo received voter authorization to construct up to three medical marijuana dispensaries within city limits.

State law currently provides for a fine of up to $2,000 and potential… Continue reading
